About Frances

Frances grew up in a family that valued movement as part of overall well being, and spent many years dancing, with a focus on hip hop and Sport Aerobics. She found yoga in 2006 while working for lululemon athletica, and loved how it balanced the more performative side of dance with introspection and reflection.

Over the years, Frances studied with many teachers, completed several trainings, and mentored within YTTs. During her Jivamukti training, she developed a deep love for Sanskrit and chanting, which led her to further study with Manorama D’Alvia and complete Sanskrit Teacher Training with Zoe Mai. She later expanded into biomechanics, anatomy, and injury recovery through Threes Physiyoga’s Advanced Teacher Training.

Her teaching reflects a love for the full spectrum of yoga, from the physical to the subtle. Through her classes, she hopes to share the many gifts of the practice, honour her teachers, and uplift others.
